Candidate Signs Everywhere...

I was driving the other day, and there were a few intersections that I had to nearly pull out into the road ahead of me because the signs were in such a place that it hid oncoming traffic. They make very good blind spots!!

I agree, it can be dangerous and really, I understand advertising but if you are a good canidate with good experience then why try to burn your name in our brains. I find it to be more annoying and messy looking than anything. I live by one of the canidates offices and the signs are EVERYWHERE and are driving me crazy. Hope they don't put them in my yard, that will be the last they see of them.

I was wondering if they expected motorists to stop at the intersections and read all of those signs. There are rather tacky, looks disgusted, confusing, and would certainly contribute to congestion if people took the time to slow down and read them all.

Seriously, if signs are in the right-of-way, you can call Code Enforcement and they will remove them. If not in the right-of-way, they shouldn't be causing a problem. If they are in what the engineers call the "clear-sight triangle" they can also be cited as a code violation, even if on private property, though not necessarily removed.
